### Identifying the Model
To ensure you have the correct model, turn your iPad over and look at the fine print on the back. If it says A2609, you have the iPad 9th generation.
### Preparing for the Repair
First, turn off the iPad. Always wear safety goggles when dealing with broken glass to protect your eyes. We'll use a heat gun to loosen the adhesive holding the screen in place.
